Homemade Organic Beef, Sweet Potato and Pea Puree

Beef is full of goodies that make it a great food for babies. It is a good source of heme iron, zinc and protein and it also contains calcium and folate too.




Ingredients:
  1. organic grass-fed lean ground beef (I used about ¼ of the meat) 
  2. 1 organic sweet potato
  3. ¼ cup of organic frozen or fresh peas
  4. Boiled water or cooking juice (save the juices that you steamed the vegetables in)


Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish with avocado oil.
  3. Place the ground beef into the baking dish, put it in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes (until the juices run clear).
  4. Peel and chop the sweet potato into small cubes and steam for 10 minutes.
  5. Add in the peas and steam for an additional 10 minutes, until both are tender.
  6. Once the beef  is done put it into a blender or food processor, add in the sweet potato and the peas, and puree.
  7. Slowly add in the water or cooking juice and puree until you have reached the desired consistency.
