Beef is full
of goodies that make it a great food for babies. It is a good source of heme
iron, zinc and protein and it also contains calcium and folate too.
Ingredients:
- organic grass-fed lean ground beef (I used about ¼ of the meat)
- 1 organic sweet potato
- ¼ cup of organic frozen or fresh peas
- Boiled water or cooking juice (save the juices that you steamed the vegetables in)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Lightly grease a baking dish with avocado oil.
- Place the ground beef into the baking dish, put it in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes (until the juices run clear).
- Peel and chop the sweet potato into small cubes and steam for 10 minutes.
- Add in the peas and steam for an additional 10 minutes, until both are tender.
- Once the beef is done put it into a blender or food processor, add in the sweet potato and the peas, and puree.
- Slowly add in the water or cooking juice and puree until you have reached the desired consistency.
